Redesign and binding of Quidditch Through the Ages by trixi-b Redesign and binding of Quidditch Through the Ages by trixi-b
I thought Quidditch Through the Ages deserves leather binding.
I've learned a lot in the process of making this book with the help of Dávid Petró, check out his blog: [link]

I like that a lot! I think I need to take a bookbinding class. I have a lot of paperbacks that need to be improved.

You don't even need a bookbinding class, I didn't take one either. It can be learned from the internet basically :D Although I'm fortunate that I had some professional help.
By the way, I think paperbacks can be improved by making fancy protective book covers for them, so it looks nice on the shelf and it's also super easy. Something like this [link] or this [link]. You could even make fake headbans out of some kind of ribbon, like they do with mass produced books.
Ok, now I'm just ranting.
Thank you very much! :aww:

Unfortunately there's only one :) Anyhow I don't think I'm allowed to sell it since I don't own the rights. But thank you anyway!

Your endpapers are beyond awesome. The cover tooling is great. I'd have gone a little denser with the spatter on the edge treatment, but that's me. Very nice.

I'm glad you like it! What cannot be seen on the photo is that the endpaper is actually printed on sparkly paper :giggle: I thought it would be suitable for the idea of the 'golden' snidget.
I'd have to tell you, the gilding itself is not my work because I'm too much of a beginner to do that, I just chose the ornaments. I tried it on paper, but I didn't want to mess up the book in the final stage :) Fortunately I had an expert at hand!
The spattering was a first too, so I guess that's why it didn't turn out perfect.
